Beautiful People

While checking my e-mail on Yahoo, I found the following story and I just had to laugh - too bad there was no photograph:

Whether we’re looking for someone to date or sizing up a potential rival, our eyes irresistibly lock on to good-looking people, a new study finds.

Yeah, no shit - right? I used to think that was just cruisin', but somebody put me right, but I've always known my eyes couldn't resist anything beautiful.

A new study - great thing for our tax dollars to be wasted on, isn't it? I could've told you all that for free. You know it, I know it, everybody knows it.

Why, just this morning I was in a department store looking for something which, of course, was NOT there. Shop employees love nothing more than slamming your hopes up against a concrete wall with a condescending fake-pity smile, "no, sir, we don't carry that here". I then decioded to improvise a little, but thought that might be pretty stupid. I just had to accept that if it's not there it's not there - I was beginning to make that deduction myself, but I felt kind of masochistic and walked up to a stock-boy and it was just like walking up to a police station with a baggie of white powder and shouting, "FREE DRUGS! GET YOUR RED-HOT NARCOTICS RIGHT HERE - STRING YA OUT, KNOCK YA OUT, HYPE YA OUT - I GOT 'EM ALL - JUST FRESH FROM CANADA, TOO!" like I was at a ball-park.

Now, thinking about a ball-park is EGGS-actly what brings me back to the point of this article. The beautiful people are everywhere, even more beautiful in the summer-time when there's more of them to see. This blurb I read also states that men look at other men (and the same goes for women) as potential rivals, in addition to that long-standing tradition in which we look at those Venuses and Adonises (or is it Veni and Adoni) which make our hearts fly right out of their chests, turn our limbs into jelly so fast we think our blood sugar has plummeted faster than the Dow Jones. Man, what a wonderful thing - it's a real gift - and the government has taken it upon itself to use your hard-earned dollars to tell you something you already knew.
